Congresswoman Gwen Moore Votes to Pass Legislation to Secure Right to Contraceptive Care Today, Congresswoman Moore voted in support of the Right to Contraception Act, which establishes a statutory right to protect access to contraceptives and ensures health care professionals can continue providing patients with essential contraceptive care. “Women should make their own health care decisions. This right shouldn’t be left in the hands of an extremist Supreme Court majority intent on restricting individual liberties and freedoms, not expanding them. The ability to access birth control pills, emergency contraception, and IUDs are critical to a women’s ability to plan her own future, including when and if to start a family.
