I am extremely pleased to hear that Komen will continue their partnership with Planned Parenthood. The services provided by Planned Parenthood are so critical to women and families – particularly those who are low-income.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-4) released this statement following the announcement by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure that it will revise its grant requirements and restore funding to Planned Parenthood: “I am extremely pleased to hear that Komen will continue their partnership with Planned Parenthood. The services provided by Planned Parenthood are so critical to women and families – particularly those who are low-income. “Over the past few days the groundswell of support from the community for Planned Parenthood and the overall commitment to fight against breast cancer has been both inspiring and amazing. We have once again proved that the power truly belongs to the people. “We must never politicize women’s health. The issue of combating breast cancer is bigger than any partisan politics.
