Congresswoman Gwen Moore Statement on Dodge County Jail Visit to See Mr. Ramon Morales Reyes “Today I visited the Dodge County Jail to check on my constituent, Mr. Ramon Morales Reyes. He informed me that his needs are being met in jail, including his health care needs. When I spoke with him, I was struck by how forgiving he is, he said he felt no animus toward the man who robbed and framed him. He deeply appreciated the outpouring of community support. However, he is deeply concerned for the safety of his family and the continued circulation of misinformation. Despite being victimized, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) refuses to recant their statement which makes false allegations against my constituent and continues to display it prominently on their website. I am outraged by this and am calling for DHS Secretary Noem to remove the false information on the DHS website regarding Mr. Ramon Morales Reyes.
