WISCONSIN -- Wisconsin Congresswoman Gwen Moore has announced a guest she's invited to President Biden's State of the Union address next Tuesday.

It's Sterling Brown, the former Milwaukee Bucks player who was forced to the ground and tased by Milwaukee police during an encounter in 2018.

Brown filed a civil rights lawsuit and eventually agreed to a $750,000 settlement with police.

In a statement Thursday, Congresswoman Moore said she invited Brown "in light of the ongoing police brutality crisis that just claimed the life of Tyre Nichols."

In an update Friday, Congresswoman Moore's office said Sterling Brown has accepted the invitation and will be present at the State of the Union address Tuesday.
