Congresswoman Gwen Moore Statement on the Passing of Former Wisconsin Governor Tony Earl “I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Wisconsin Governor Tony Earl. His legacy as one of Wisconsin’s fiercest advocates left a lasting impact on our state. He worked with both parties to pass meaningful legislation, and always put the people of Wisconsin first. Tony wasn’t afraid to stick to his values. He will be remembered as a staunch defender of the environment, an advocate for education, a champion for communities of color, and an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I give my sincere condolences to his family and those closest to him, and promise to honor his legacy by continuing to use him as an example of what it means to be a true public servant.” |
