Congresswoman Gwen Moore Votes in Support of Women’s Health Protection Act (H.R. 3755)

“I remember life before Roe, and we cannot go back.

Women’s reproductive freedoms are under attack by GOP state lawmakers. Texas’s bill, SB8, bans abortions at six weeks, which is before most pregnant people know they are expecting! This extreme, inhumane legislation jeopardizes protections established by Roe v. Wade, disproportionately hurting low-income Americans and people of color. Abortion is health care, and people need access to this care.

It’s clear that we need federal legislation that enshrines reproductive rights in law, and that’s why I joined House Democrats in voting today to pass  the Women’s Health Protection Act.”
