Congresswoman Gwen Moore Calls for an Investigation Following Images of Mistreatment of Haitian Migrants at U.S. Southern Border Congresswoman Moore released the following statement: “I am appalled and heartbroken by the images I’ve seen of Haitian migrants being mistreated by border patrol agents at the U.S. Southern border. It’s inexcusable to treat humans with such cruelty. I am calling for an investigation because what our country witnessed in those images cannot go unanswered or unaccounted for. DHS Secretary Mayorkas must ensure that each person seeking asylum is treated with compassion and dignity.”
