The Office of Congressman Gwen Moore Announces Application Window for the Class of 2026 Service Academy Nominations for Wisconsin’s 4^th Congressional District is Now Open

In response, Congresswoman Moore released the following statement:

“Every year, members of Congress have the distinct privilege of helping choose the next leaders of our great nation’s armed forces from their congressional districts. It is a tremendous honor to have the opportunity to nominate students to the service academies, and it is a responsibility I take very seriously.

Our country’s Military Academies provide young people with world-class military training and an incredible education. The nomination process is highly competitive and graduating from an Academy is no easy task, but these young women and men from the 4^th Congressional District are up to the challenge of joining the ranks of other 4^th Congressional District nominees which include 5 Star General Douglas MacArthur.”

Members of Congress can nominate candidates to four of the five U.S. service academies – the U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth academy – the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT – does not require a congressional nomination.
