Congresswoman Gwen Moore Announces American Rescue Plan Funding for Local Head Start Programs Congresswoman Moore Helped Secure Head Start Grants in the American Rescue Plan Today, Congresswoman Moore announced $2,412,144 for local Head Start programs She helped secure the grant funding as part of the American Rescue Plan. In response, Congresswoman Moore released the following statement: “I’m a former Head Start parent, and I know the value of these programs on families and children. Supporting these programs in Congress is an opportunity for me to pay it forward to ensure more Milwaukee families can benefit from Head Start,” said Congresswoman Moore. Acelero, Inc and Next Door Foundation, Inc received funding and serve multiple congressional districts in Wisconsin, including Wisconsin’s Fourth Congressional District. The funding for Head Start comes in addition to $260,446,267 in ARP funding for the State of Wisconsin Congresswoman Moore secured to help child care providers safely reopen, keep workers on payroll, and provide child care assistance for hardworking families. |
