Congresswoman Gwen Moore to Vote in Support of the Justice in Policing Act

Congresswoman Gwen Moore to Vote in Support of the Justice in Policing Act Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore will cast her vote in support of the Justice in Policing Act in the House. In response, she released the following statement: "As an original cosponsor, I am so proud to cast my vote for the Justice in Policing Act, which includes provisions I authored, to require de-escalation training for police officers. By making it harder for rogue police officers and departments to escape accountability for harmful and even fatal acts, banning racial profiling in policing, banning chokeholds and no-knock warrants, and ending the transfer of certain military-grade equipment to our police departments, we can build safer communities and provide long overdue reforms to policing. Our country needs this critical legislation, which is why it should and must receive bipartisan support in the Senate."
