Congresswoman Gwen Moore's Response to Robert Mueller's Testimony Today, Robert Mueller testified in the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committee to address questions about the Russia investigation and the Mueller report. Congresswoman Moore released the following statement: “Five Trump campaign officials have been charged with crimes. Trump and his campaign facilitated and welcomed election interference from Russia, including sharing polling data. We cannot understate the ongoing threat to our democracy. Mueller’s testimony reaffirmed that Trump is not exonerated. Instead of trying to gain more clarity from the Mueller report, Republicans wasted the opportunity by promoting dangerous conspiracy theories and trying to bury the truth to protect Trump. Since 2017, I have called for President Trump to be removed from office. Mueller has provided Congress with the information necessary to hold Trump accountable for his wrongdoings.” |
