Milwaukee, Wis.– U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore made the following statement after learning that FEMA denied the state’s application for individual assistance following last month’s torrential rain storm and flooding:

“I am extremely disappointed that FEMA will not be providing individual assistance, especially as I remain concerned about the safety of people in homes that may not have a working furnace come winter. 

“I am as committed as ever to working with state, local and federal officials to find resources to help our communities recover and rebuild.”
