Gwen Moore Says Sensenbrenner Statement about First Lady "Inappropriate"

Milwaukee, WI - Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-4), Co-Chair of the Caucus onWomen’s Issues, released the following statement regarding Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner’s remarks regarding First Lady Michelle Obama.

"It is unfortunate that my colleague Mr. Sensenbrenner would make such distasteful and demeaning comments about our First Lady Michelle Obama. His comments were inappropriate and have no place in our public discourse.

“I am pleased that he has apologized to the First Lady and I would hope that he and all of my colleagues would use better judgment when making comments in the future.”
