The Harley-Davidson Motor Company was founded in 1903 by childhood friends William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. “Harley-Davidson is truly a Wisconsin and an American treasure. For more than a century, it’s been an important part of our state’s economy and our local communities. I’ve been a rider for most of my life. I own a Harley, and I’m proud to say that I come from Wisconsin, the home of Harley-Davidson,” said Rep. Ribble. “Since its beginnings, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company has remained a significant contributor to our economy and our way of life,” said Rep. Moore. “From their significant wartime contributions, to their unmatched innovation and philanthropic efforts, this company has continually left an indelible, positive mark on history.
