Milwaukee, WI – Recently, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-4), along with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announced the release of over $400,000 in grant funding to support health care and cultural awareness in the Milwaukee area.

HHS awarded $200,000 to the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, $101,500 to the Community Relations-Social Development Commission, $87,000 to the Pan-African Community Association and $43,567 to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. These funds will be used to help improve area health through services and research, as well as help to advance the economic outlook and cultural awareness of Milwaukee residents.

“I am proud, once again, that Milwaukee was chosen to receive this grant funding,” said Rep. Gwen Moore. “It is my hope that each organization will use their respective award to further the overall health of those who reside in and around this great city.”
