Williams or Staci Cox (202) 225- 4572 Gwen Moore Announces $900,000 Grant for Wisconsin Department of Transportation Milwaukee, WI – Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-4), along with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) announced the release of $900,000 in grant funding to support transportation operation efforts in the Great Lakes region. This grant was awarded to improve passenger and freight movement within the Great Lakes area by creating an interconnected transportation system. The Wisconsin DOT supports operations from its main office in Madison as well as its regional offices throughout the state. This local approach helps the Wisconsin DOT better understand and respond to the state’s transportation needs. This funding will help advance the economic competitiveness and travel time of the Wisconsin transportation system. “Whether in a car, plane, bike, train or boat, every day people across our state rely on the effectiveness of Wisconsin’s transportation system,” said Rep.
