MILWAUKEE- Dozens of people gathered at the Washington Park Senior Center Tuesday evening for a public meeting about the Affordable Care Act.

Congresswoman Gwen Moore's staff hosted the event and invited a number of professionals to answer questions relating to the new health care law.

Moore was unable to attend the meeting because of the on-going government shutdown.

The Congresswoman's staff said she was in Washington D.C.

New Heath and Human Services Director Regional Director of Region V Kathleen Falk spoke at the event.

When asked how many people have enrolled in Obamacare in Wisconsin, Falk explained the federal government will likely release numbers in a few weeks at the end of the month.

Many people at the meeting were looking to get information for themselves and their family, while others were getting more informed in order to help others get enrolled.

Another public meeting will be held Wednesday at Kosciuszko Community Center from 5 - 7 p.m.
