The American Rescue Plan Act, specifically its enhancements to the Child Tax Credit (CTC), will benefit many families in need. To help eligible people, particularly those without a federal tax filing requirement, file a 2020 tax return and receive the monthly advance CTC payment, the IRS and its partners will conduct Advance CTC Free Tax Prep Days in Milwaukee, WI.

During these events, IRS employees, key community stakeholders and volunteers will help eligible families file a 2020 tax return, if needed, to begin receiving their monthly advance CTC payments.
