Trump’s Illegal Iran War
I attended a classified congressional briefing on Iran and heard from Trump administration officials. It is clear that the Administration is waging an illegal war without clear objectives or rationale. That’s why I supported a War Power Resolution that would reassert our constitutional authority and end this war before it escalates further. Pushing Back Against ICE’s Cruelty
I spoke with Frederica Freyburg of PBS Wisconsin about why I joined Democrats in pushing for meaningful reform for ICE. Right now, Republicans are blocking legislation to secure needed reforms and ensure TSA, FEMA and Coast Guard are paid.
Milwaukee Jobs Corps
I had a great meeting with Milwaukee Job Corps and appreciate their wonderful work helping young people in our community learn skills and enter the workforce. I will continue to advocate for them in Congress.

My dad was a UAW member, and I always enjoy meeting UAW Region 4 representatives! We discussed trade and healthcare priorities.
Making Essential Health Care More Affordable for Pregnant and Postpartum Moms
We need to make substance use treatment and mental health treatment more affordable and eliminate more barriers to care for pregnant and postpartum moms. My legislation, the Mental Health and MAMA Act, would remove co-pays for plans that cover this care. Read my op-ed in Newsweek here.
Keeping our Community Prepared
I led a productive conversation with local leaders to discuss how our community can be prepared if a large-scale immigration enforcement came to Milwaukee. These proactive steps are important to protect and empower our community.
Wisconsin Voters Deserve Fair Maps. Now.
In Wisconsin, gerrymandering has undermined our democracy and taken voters’ power away from them for too long. Wisconsin voters shouldn’t have to use rigged maps in another election, which is why the state Supreme Court should make their decision in the Bothfeld v. WEC case swiftly.

The Real State of the Union
I was honored to bring Kara Pitt D’Andrea, Executive Director of Renaissance Child Development Center in Milwaukee, to the State of the Union. She is a strong advocate for renewing ACA premium tax credits and knows how they help secure affordable health care for small business employers and employees. Small businesses power our economy, and I join her in the call to renew these credits so that health care can be affordable for millions of Americans.
