Dear friend,

The yearly period when people can enroll in a health insurance plan on the Health Insurance Marketplace is ongoing and runs until December 15th. I encourage you to visit HealthCare.gov, a site that makes it easy to shop and compare the plans available to you, so that you can find a plan that fits both your needs and your budget. For Spanish-speaking consumers, there is a Spanish version of HealthCare.gov that can be found at CuidadoDeSalud.gov.

Financial help is also available, and quality health coverage may be more affordable than you think.  Last year, 2 in 3 shoppers on HealthCare.gov could find a plan for $10/month or less after-tax credits.

Free help is available for signing up for coverage. If you are a Wisconsinite who needs assistance with selecting a healthcare plan, you can head to WisCovered.com to find a wide array of resources. On WisCovered.com, get connected to a local expert for assistance, and find answers to common questions about healthcare coverage in Wisconsin. If you are a Milwaukee resident, you can also call Covering Wisconsin at (414) 400-9489 to speak with an expert. If you do not live in Milwaukee, you can use (877) 947-2211 to call from anywhere in Wisconsin.

These free tools are available to you to help obtain affordable health coverage and protect yourself and your family. Health insurance helps pay costs when you need medical care, including prescription medicine. Even if you already had coverage through HealthCare.gov for 2020, make sure your plan still meets your needs for the upcoming year by comparing options for 2021. Please know that I will keep fighting to expand access to affordable, quality health care in Congress. I wish you and your family good health and safety as we head towards the holiday season, and best wishes as we head into a new year.

Your friend,

Gwen
